This series contains materials Gordon Childs collected and received from several prominent contemporary viola d'amore players and composers. The collection includes a rare piece of music given to him by the well-known composer, Vaclav Nelhybel, to perform. Dated 1782-2014 with the bulk being from 1900-2014.

These scores are in the form of printed music, photocopies of original manuscripts and include Thomason’s own arrangements. The collection also contains a piece written for the very first viola congress that Childs performed with Thomason and Myron Rosenblum in June 1982. This subseries includes programs, newspaper articles, biographies, and other reviews written about Muradian by Gordon Childs, members of the Viola d’amore Society of America, one of Muradian’s teachers, and other well-known musicians. The sub-series also includes quartets, concertos, and sonatas written by Muradian. These are in the form of photocopied handwritten manuscripts and printed musical scores. Some contain personal annotations and markings by Childs. Dated 1955-1998.
